Our client is seeking a dedicated Control Engineer to join their team on a permanent basis in Nottingham, East Midlands. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining control systems that optimise operational efficiency and safety. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop solutions that meet project specifications, troubleshoot control system issues, and ensure seamless integration of hardware and software components. The role demands a proactive approach to problem-solving and a strong understanding of control system principles to support continuous improvement initiatives. You will also be involved in testing, commissioning, and providing technical support for control systems throughout their lifecycle.
- Proven experience as a Controls Engineer with a solid background in Example Sub-speciality.
- Strong knowledge of PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems.
- Experience with control system design, calibration, and commissioning.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to resolve complex control issues efficiently.
- Ability to interpret engineering drawings, datasheets, and specifications.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- BSc in Electrical, Control, or Electronic Engineering or a relevant discipline.
