We are seeking a Sales Engineer to join our client's dynamic team based in Birmingham. This permanent position involves supporting the development of innovative warehouse automation solutions, working closely with the Business Development Manager and technical teams to drive successful project wins. The role requires analysing customer requirements, presenting technical concepts, managing bidding processes, and ensuring smooth handover from sales to project execution. The ideal candidate will leverage their engineering background and experience in applications engineering related to AWL systems to deliver bespoke, cost-effective solutions that meet client needs and business objectives. As a senior team member, you will also lead multiple projects, mentor junior engineers, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, fostering a high-performance sales engineering environment.
- Upper-class or master’s degree in an Engineering discipline
- Extensive experience in automated material handling or related automation industries
- Proven ability to independently identify, analyse, and translate customer requirements into technical solutions
- Strong skills in data analysis and problem-solving, with advanced proficiency in Excel
- Excellent communication and presentation abilities
- Experience working within an international project environment is preferred
- Strong team player with the capacity for building rapport with clients and internal teams
