We are hiring a Permanent Senior Business Development Manager / Post & Parcel for a leading intralogistics company. This fully remote, UK-based role focuses on driving growth within the parcel automation sector. As a senior member of the sales team, you will be responsible for identifying and securing new business opportunities across parcel hubs, urban centres, and last-mile distribution sites, leveraging your expertise in parcel automation and logistics solutions. Your primary goal will be to manage the complete sales process, from prospecting and qualification to negotiation and contract signing, working closely with engineering teams to shape tailored automation solutions including sortation systems, conveyors, and robotics. You'll develop and implement market penetration strategies, maintain an active pipeline, and deliver technical presentations to senior stakeholders. The role demands a results-driven professional with a proven track record of success in high-value automation sales within parcel or postal environments, coupled with technical understanding of sortation, conveyor systems, and automation technology. Your ability to build trust, open new doors, and close complex multi-stakeholder deals will be crucial in this high-impact position.
- Minimum of 5+ years experience in business development or technical sales within parcel automation or related sectors
- Proven success in selling high-value automation systems into CEP, postal, or e-commerce logistics environments
- Excellent understanding of parcel processing, including sortation, conveyor, robotics, and hub optimisation technologies
- Strong hunter mentality with the ability to open doors and close multi-stakeholder deals
- Comfortable delivering technical and commercial presentations to diverse audiences, from engineering teams to C-suite leadership
- Existing network within parcel, postal, or hub automation sectors is highly advantageous
- Degree in engineering, logistics, automation or similar technical or commercial discipline preferred
