We are currently seeking a Service Manager for an intralogistics company specialising in automation systems, with a focus on handling baggage and cargo logistics at airports. In this role, you will lead the integrated project team (IPT) responsible for maintenance and after-sales support for automated baggage handling and conveyor systems installed at major customers, including airports. Your key responsibilities include managing service orders from proposal through to completion, coordinating with technical and logistics teams, maintaining budgets, and ensuring customer satisfaction in a multi-cultural environment. You will also oversee contractual relationships, monitor project progress using tools such as Gantt charts, and ensure quality standards are met, driving continuous improvement initiatives within the service function.
- Minimum 3-4 years of experience in maintenance of highly automated systems, particularly within baggage handling or airport logistics environments
- Proven project management skills, including familiarity with Gantt, OBS/WBS, and progress reporting
- Strong knowledge of SLA management, KPIs, and RAMS analysis
- Experience managing spare parts logistics, warehouse management, and supply chain coordination
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to negotiate and manage customer relationships effectively
- Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronic Engineering (automation-focused preferred)
- Ability to travel approximately 20–30% to customer sites and system locations
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office and continuous improvement tools such as OEE analysis
- Language skills: English essential, Italian a plus, with a driver’s license required
