We are currently seeking a highly skilled Solutions Design Manager to join our client's Intralogistics team based in Northampton, East Midlands. This permanent role offers an exciting opportunity for a candidate with a proven background in solution design, particularly within warehouse or supply chain environments. The successful individual will be responsible for developing innovative, cost-effective, and operationally sound warehouse and supply chain solutions, managing multiple projects simultaneously from initial analysis through to presentation and implementation. Key responsibilities include conducting thorough data analysis, designing complex warehouse layouts, preparing proposals, hosting meetings with clients to understand their needs, and collaborating with internal teams and external specialists to deliver optimal solutions. The role also demands the ability to independently undertake projects, support less experienced team members, and provide expert input during customer and internal reviews to ensure solutions meet operational and financial standards.
- Minimum 3/4 years’ experience in warehouse solution design across diverse projects and sectors
- Proficiency in modelling software, AutoCAD, Microsoft Visio, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Access
- Strong experience in data analysis, process mapping, and problem-solving
- Understanding of Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), throughput optimization, and operational methodologies
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to produce and deliver formal presentations
- Relevant degree or equivalent qualifications, ideally in transport, logistics, or related fields
- Current UK driving license and capability to safely drive on UK roads
- Membership of a professional body is desirable
