We are seeking a Systems Design Engineer to join a leading intralogistics company on a permanent basis. The successful candidate will play a vital role within the Design Engineering department, working directly with clients to interpret their logistics requirements and develop tailored automation solutions. Your role will involve converting customer needs into detailed concepts through 2D and 3D CAD drawings, producing technical documentation, and supporting tender processes. Engagement with colleagues, suppliers, and clients will be essential to validate designs, manage third-party equipment tenders, and deliver compelling presentations. This position expects a proactive individual capable of managing multiple tasks independently, with a focus on innovative, sustainable solutions aligned with the company's mission to transform logistics.
- HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering
- Formal CAD qualification or minimum 3 years CAD operator experience
- Membership of relevant engineering or logistics institute
- Experience with automation equipment and logistical (or process) layouts of integrated solutions
- Knowledge of maintenance of automation equipment
- Confident in interpreting customer requirements and producing concept drawings
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to work autonomously and manage workload effectively
- Good decision-making skills and a team-oriented attitude
